Bedrockin’ Global Sustainability Stories: Story Two

By: Francesca Mundrick

Loch Ness to Glencoe. I traversed Scotland in my Bedrocks!

Just about two weeks ago, I was hiking my local natural space- Mahlon Dickerson Reservation in Morris County, NJ. In the blink of an eye, I hopped on a plane over to Dublin and then took a quick hopper flight to Scotland.

Our adventure started in the historic city of Edinburgh. With our rental car as our key to the Highlands and my Bedrocks to take me forward, Nicole and I were soon walking Culloden Moor, hiking Loch Ness, climbing the Eilean Donan Castle, trekking in Glencoe, and dancing in Glasgow!

One of our most important stops was the Trees for Life Dundreggan Rewilding Centre for a nature walk. Trees for Life works to restore and protect critical ecological spaces in the Highlands.

The Scottish Highlands are dynamic, ancient, and wet! The misty weather, slick rocks, cold streams, and moist moss was no match for my Cairn 3D PRO II Adventure Bedrocks.

I felt like the only person in the United Kingdom with Bedrocks and I might have been. A few people asked about where I got them and I let them know!

Scotland, a place of intense human mystery, enchantment, and spirit, was the perfect place to connect in my Bedrocks.

Bedrockin is a lifestyle- I encourage you to try it out!
