Recipe for One Cup of Food Safe Glue
1 1⁄2 cups (350 ml) water
2 tablespoons (40 g) of corn syrup or honey
1 teaspoon (4.9 ml) of vinegar
2 tablespoons (15 g) of cornstarch
1. In a saucepan, stir together 3/4 C (180ml) water, syrup, and vinegar and bring the mixture to a full boil.
2. In a medium size bowl, stir the corn starch and the remaining half of the water together until combined.
3. Slowly stir the corn starch mixture into the boiling mixture in the stove. Return the glue mixture to a boil and continue cooking for 1 minute.
4. Remove the glue from heat and allow it to cool. Store it in a sealed container. Recommended to use with-in a few days.
You are now ready to create your pumpkins by applying the pressed flowers gently with the paintbrush and glue.
